Stephen Upshaw performs in Solem Quartet special lockdown lunchtime concert

Stephen is the latest member of the Solem Quartet, arriving just a few weeks ago as their new violist.  He plays a viola by Daniel Parker of London c 1715, which was acquired through one of our instrument schemes.  As Quartet in Residence at Liverpool University, the Solem Quartet regularly takes part in the lunchtime concert series.  Not to be deterred by the current lockdown, the series continues with musicians playing from wherever they are isolating.
This concert took place on 6th May and is a joyous celebration of musical energy as well as being a showcase for the undoubted talents of the players and their special guests.
